11/16/2003 Full Ticket (as stub is still attached) from Soldier Field on a misty cloudy day where the footing & the ball was slippery --Nice condition clean fraont & back with slight ding to the right side
Trailing the Chicago Bears 14-3 in the third quarter Sunday, Martz signaled his offense to go for it on a fourth-and-1 from its own 40. And on that 4th and one Faulk broke off a 52-yard run that set up a touchdown --
following that score St. Louis surprised the Bears with an onside kick. It took another 4th down conversion to keep the drive alive that led to the go ahead TD.
After adding another FG to extend their lead to 20-14 the Bears wiped it out in 3 plays with a TD.
-- then the Rams rallied to beat the Bears 23-21 on a 31-yard field goal with 38 seconds left.
Faulk, who carried 20 times for 103 yards, also caught three passes for 21 yards, moving him past Ronnie Harmon into second place all-time for receiving yards (6,077) by a running back. It was the 31st time in his career Faulk surpassed 100 yards rushing.
It's hard to believe RB Marshall Faulk only played for twelve seasons (with the Rams and Colts), but he did. In the process, Faulk became one of the greatest two-way backs ever, racking up 19,154 yards from scrimmage. He had 12,279 yards rushing with 100 TDs, and added 767 catches for 6875 yards and another 36 TDs as a receiver
