F-298 Sudden Country/Treasure Trail From Tucson GOOD
By Nelson Nye
They called it "Sudden Country" - "Sudden" as in "Sudden Death!" It
was home to the fiddlefoot, the ridge-runner, the tinhorn, the desperado
and the saddle bum - the refuse of more settled communities.
Even here, the name Frank Ives carried respect. He had come seeking refuge, to disappear for awhile, and he could not afford involvement with anyone's troubles, for any reason.
But shen he heard the despairing story of a sorrel-topped,
sapphire-eyed beauty, Frank knew he had to get into trouble yet again
Treasure Trail From Tucson
By Nelson Nye
Charlie Medders was riled! Her he'd been prospecting for close to ten
years, living from hand to mount under the hot Arizona sun, without a
bit of luck. Now, at last, he had a strike, the richest damned silver
ore strike since the days of the lost Weeping Widow mind.
Fat old Tiberius Jones, the banker who already owned nearly
everything in these parts, had got himself a court order taking the mine
away from Charlie and divvying it up among his creditors. Jones
promptly bought back all their shares for himself.
A hard-bitten prospector was not going to stand still for a deal like that!
Covers are clean, but each has several crinkles. Trail side also
vertically creased just left of center. Spine worn at corners. Pages are
browning. Binding is flexible but intact.
