Three Disasters hit the mountain town of Aztec at the same time:
A blizzard had completely blocked the passes and cut the town off from all help.
Curt Warren, a prospector that the town had been grubstaking, was found bushwcked while returning with "big news."
And a notorious outlaw and killer had been trapped in town by The Big Snow.
It all added up to the biggest crisis in the career of Sheriff Morgan, especially since the outlaw and suspected bushwhacker was Morgan's own no-good brother!

Ex-cavalryman Craig Carter had about as much pushing around as a man could take. The South might be down and out, but he wasn't. It was time he did some pushing of his own in the form of 3,000 head of cattle across 1500 miles of badlands and Indian territories to a market that would net him more than twenty bucks a head.
They said the odds were 100 to one that he would never reach the railhead. But Craig quickly found that the dangers ahead were as nothing compared to the treachery that lay behind, tracking him to the death.
First printing for the West entry; the other was in a Bourgey hardcover the year before. Clean, bright covers with only a touch of corner wear. Pages are a very light tan. Binding is tight and square, but there is one bump in the foredge.
