D- 22 BADLANDS MASQUERADE / MAVERICK OF PLAINS Fair
By Leslie (Bradford) Scott
Cattle are disappearing all over West Texas, and the Rangers cannot
locate any routes by which they can be driven away. The only possible
direction is west, across the searing desert, a direction which would
surely prove fatal to both cows and thieves.
They sent in Walt Slade, on a one-man masquerade. He was determined
to ferret out the secret of the rustlers, to redeem the prestige of the
Rangers. When backstabbing editor Ross Cameron spills the beans on him
in print, Slade is fated for death.
Mavericks Of The Plains
By Bliss Lomax
Jim Hatton and his brother Pete had been law-riders, U.S. marshals on
the dangerous Cherokee Strip. But while risking their lives for the
cause of law and order, they had been double-crossed, made victims of a
power-lusting official. Once driven onto the owlhoot trail, they set
their hearts on achieving their own brand of trigger justice!
