It was time Rafe Bender was catching up with his folks. They had headed west while Rafe was still stuck in a Yank prison. His only clue came from a hardcase, who mentioned a bunch of Benders raising horses out in Arizona Territory.
He found them, but his welcome ws not what a long-lost brother and son would expect. His brother Duke claimed that Rafe was dead, and had a paper showing it to be so. The Old Man was blind to the truth. And lurking off-stage were the hostile Chiracua (whom Rafeâs dad referred to inelegantly as "Cherry Cows!")

Webb rode into Wildroot with his eyes wide open, seeking a killer named Ives. As the trail got clearer, the facts got muddier and Wildroot, nest of the meanest outlaws was no place to start getting confused.
Very little made sense here. There were two women, a Mex gunrunner, and a gimpy lawman. None of them fit. And of course, from the other side, Webb wasnât good news either.
Second printing for this pair. Covers are clean with crinkles and edge wear. Spine is rubbed at one end, otherwise excellent. Pages are iff-white. Binding is tight, slightly concave.
