VULCAN OS1212-250A Metal Strip Heating Element
Typical uses are for Clamp on to Heat Dies, Platens, Vessels, Tanks and Heat Transfer Surfaces. One customer uses them for pet house heaters.
These are constructed of stainless steel, however they will rust slightly if exposed to moisture over a long time. They are not a rust free stainless grade. They are about 12" X 1.5" X 5/16" and require a flat non flamable surface to mount to which is 11 X 1.5
Requires to fasteners of 1/4 to 5/16 inch diameter for mounting. Mounting bolts/screws should be approximately in the center of the two oblong mounting holes to allow the element to expand and contract with temperature variations.
The mounting surface would generally be metal. The two electrical connectors are 10-32 nuts (included) and the metal case of the heater should be grounded.
If used in an environment where moisture can be expected, a ground fault circuit interupter should be used (we sell those also).
