Jacket:The lined jacket is thin wool (not itchy) with a black velvet collar, 3.5†wide velvet cuffs and one velvet button.The jacket is long and fitted with a cross-over waist and a decorative velvet ‘flap’ below the button.There is an inside button closure and two inside pockets.
Skirt:The lined skirt is nice and long with a 1†wide satin waistband, a center back zipper topped by a hook closure and a 12†long backed center pleat.The skirt waistband was pinned in order to not slide down the dress form.
This is a very nice upscale evening suit by Laura Madrigano.It is in good condition and very glamorous!I bought this beautiful suit on eBay in 2000.I never wore it, but it had previously been worn.
*The suit has an area approx. 1†to the right of the button which appears to be where the button was originally sewn – I am guessing.There is a small circular area which seems to be lighter in color and is visible in daylight.I don’t think it’s a hole, but it’s hard to tell on the dark fabric.
