I found this beauty on display in a children's clothing store. Ownership can be traced back to three generations but it could possibly be older than that. (You have to go with what you know.) It's handmade from solid wood and wooden pegs were used in construction. There are four metal screws that fasten the rocking base to the legs. All parts are in place but there's some scuffing on the rockers. An easy fix with sandpaper and polish.
This horse is huge and heavy!! He measures 48" Tall, 48" Long, and 26 1/2" Wide. From the floor to the seat is 31." I've seen a lot of rocking horses but two seaters are rare! It would make a great family heirloom. It would also look great just displayed in the home. It could even be used in photographer's studio to get great pictures of more than one child.
