Item Description
This is for a vintage, ca 1950s? ceramic wall
plaque featuring Jack (of Jack Be Nimble) jumping over a candlestick.
Unsure on maker, but backside has palm fronds with "Made in Japan" and
"Hand Painted." Jack is full-figured and is "in 3-D" as he is not a flat
figure but rather protrudes out from the plaque. The candle is in
relief (slightly raised). Very cool piece with some rubbing to the back,
along with a little bit of old sticker residue. The right edge (right,
when facing the item) has a small greenish mark about halfway down.
Measures 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 and Jack sticks out about 1 1/4". Very cute!
