VINTAGE JAPAN 3" ART SALT & PEPPER SET

I think these are an especially attractive set of old shakers. They are ceramic with what seems to be a very heavy coat of traditional oriental shiny maroon paint then decorated in semi 3-D. The pagoda and scene surrounding it is done mostly in gold with the mountain next to it done in a raised manner with black paint, I think and a tiny piece of abalone to give it the appearance of light and shadow. Both have red rubber stoppers which I presume are original. Each stopper has a large numeral 1 on them. Dark black bottoms with JAPAN done in silver. Add 3.95 shipping US.
