This medal was given to all the Liberty Loan Workers who participated in the Victory Liberty Loan campaign, the United States Treasury Department awarded this medal made from German tanks or canons that were captured and melted down.
The Medal was the first to be distributed by the U.S.A. during wartime, and on the back was a line you could engrave your name on.
This Medal is indeed a piece of History.
Several German canons, captured by American soldiers at Chateau Thierry, had been melted down and rolled into sheets and the Medals punched out.
