This rare film covers about a two year period from 1945 to 1947. It starts with Japan's surrender on September 2, 1945. The Allies now have to decide how to govern, reconstruct, feed, house and relocate displaced people. Newsreel footage is seen of various conferences with the USA, Russia, Great Britain and France. There is also shocking footageof Nazi concentration camps and the destruction caused by Germany. It then sets up a prelude to Russia’s aggression and the beginning of the Cold War.
A must have for anyone’s WWII collection! Absolutely fascinating film with some incredible after war footage.
