Tete Jumeau Depose 15" Antique Bisque Doll with Jumeau body

15" Tete Jumeau grey eyed beauty! The head is incised with a "D," and stamped in red except the "x" is in blue as follows:

The pierced ears are flat and are applied and adorned with pearl earrings. She has six upper teeth in her open closed mouth, red nostrils and full round cheeks. She has stationary grey glass paper weight eyes with threaded irises and lots of closely painted long black eyelashes all around. Her eyes are framed with long heavy curved dark brown feathered eyebrows.

She is wearing a blonde Meyerlon wig that has curly bangs and shoulder length ringlets. She wears black patent type slippers with shiny black bows, white rayon socks with a pink stripe. Her underclothes are fine white lawn edged with narrow val lace and consists of a panty waist, pants and a full length petticoat. The one piece dress is made of old materials and has a pale pink pleated skirt of wide satin ribbon with a full length front panel covered with cream colored silk lace which is edged with pink rose bud braid. The bolero type bodice is of heavy corded white silk with long lavender flowers and pale green leaves and edged in handmade lace. To top it all off she is wearing a pearl choker and a fancy poke bonnet type leghorn hat which is elaborately trimmed with a tan pompom feather, horsehair braid and pink rose buds with rose braid.

There is a little bit of paint rubbed off the outside of her right knee. She has a cardboard pate. Her jacket is beginning to tear or melt in the back. One of her eyes may need to be reset as it is a little more protruding than her other.
