Mrs. Prudence Derbyshire, proprietress of Miss Jane Fuzzywuzzy's Yarn Shop in Lobelia Falls, was exchanging morning pleasantries with Arethusa Monk, who had taken a break from her romance writting to fetch something, though she now could not remember what. "Lovely morning , Miss Monk, " said prudence.
Their chat was interrupted , however, when a bullet-riddled car pulled up and a smallish, middle-aged man wearing a trench coat leaped out and ran into the shop. Moments later , he reappeared, muttered something that sounded like "the raveled sleeve!" and collapsed at their feet, whereupon a large bullet hole in his back became rather apparent.
