Cabaret Diva Nan Mason was born in Washington, DC and moved to and fell
in love with Chicago after completing her studies at Virginia
Commonwealth University. She immediately landed her first professional
singing gig at the Cousin's Club and has never looked back since.
After touring with her band, she returned to Chicago and united with
Richard Melman of Lettuce Entertain You for the "New Pump Room" in the
late 70's. In the following years, living in New York and Hollywood, she
has recorded jingles and commercials, made motion pictures and appeared
on countless stages in the U.S. and abroad. Mason released her CD
"Something Cool" in 1999, featuring the 1955 June Christy classic as
well as other standards such as "Someone To Watch Over Me", Cole
Porter's "Love For Sale", "What A Wonderful World" and "This is My
Life".
