Item Description
This set of 2 matchingplates were for either bread, dessert, salad or lunch.The plates each measure 7 1/2" across the center.There is some wear to the gold around the edge which is very common for plates of this age.These are probably from the 1940's, so they're way older than I am.The hand-painted flowers are absolutely lovely.There are yellow and pink roses and purple violets and another flower but I'm not sure what it is.The detail on the flowers is spectacular!The background is white and the plate is either porcelain or fine china, probably the latter.The plate is marked on the back "Bavaria" with the "V" logo above it.This would make a lovely addition to a plate collection or it might be that missing piece to a set of china.There are no chips, cracks, crazing or scratches that I can see.
