Webstore sellers may place limits and/or block buyers from participating in their auctions.
The "Set Buyer Limits" section of the Members Area lets sellers add/edit any buyers for which they wish to limit access to their items.
This page displays the current list of buyers for which you have set limits or blocked completely.
To add buyers to this list, click the "Add User" link at the bottom of the list. On the resulting screen you may enter the "username", "buyer quota", a "limit reason" and whether or not you wish the reason to be displayed to the buyer.
"username" is the username of the Webstore user you wish to limit.
"buyer quota" is the limit that you wish to place on this buyer. A limit of "0" means that this buyer is completely blocked from participating in your auctions. A limit of "3" means that this buyer may only purchase 3 of your items before they are required to pay.
"limit reason" and "show reason" Here you may enter the reason for which you are limiting this buyer. If you would like this reason to be seen by the buyer, simply check the "show reason" box. If you would like the reason to be private (just a note to yourself) then leave the "show reason" box unchecked.
WARNING / NOTE: This limit overrides the buyer's Standard Webstore Buyer Limits
and may be used to allow a buyer to purchase more items from you than
their current system limit may allow.
Although this may come in handy if you
sell lower priced items for which buyers may buy large quantities, we urge you to consider that the standard Webstore buyer limits have been established to protect you (the seller). In some cases it may be better to invoice a buyer and let their payment clear before allowing them to purchase more items from you.
