The Black Hole:
It's 2 A.M. in St. Louis when a routine scientific experiment goes terribly wrong and an explosion shakes the city. A scientific team investigates, clashing with an intergalactic, voltage-devouring creature that vaporizes them. By 7 A.M. a chain of earthquakes is tearing the city apart while a massive swirling black hole is consuming the remains. The alien is devouring every source of electricity it finds and destroying every human who blocks its way. Mass chaos rules as St. Louis is being evacuated. Only a few people, scientist Eric Bryce, his assistant Shannon, and General Ryker comprehend the mortal danger. By midnight, the Pentagon initiates a nuclear attack against the black hole. Bryce has only one hour to find a solution to obliterate the alien and the colossal black hole before mankind is annihilated.

Final Days of Planet Earth:
The government shuts down archaeologist Lloyd Walker's (Gil Bellows) dig, much to his dismay. He becomes suspicious, and after a little investigating, Walker uncovers an unimaginable alien plot to wipe humans off the face of the earth. Liz Quinlan (Daryl Hannah), a city official who holds all the cards, is not what she seems. She is actually a blood-sucking creature from outer space masquerading as a human being, which allows her to go about her business without anyone realizing. The creature has created a processing plant at the mayor's office, which transforms human bodies into alien forms. It's up to Walker to save the day.

Scientists from all over the world are meeting in Australia for a conference when Dr. Austin Shepard (Peter Fonda) disappears without a trace. Somehow, his disappearance ties into an inevitable calamity for Earth. Shepard's colleague, Dr. Christopher Richardson (Luke Perry) and other scientists realize that cosmic events are combining to create a full-blown supernova which could destroy the world unless they do something to change it. They have to work together to solve the impending crisis, all while managing to keep the information classified. A full-blown supernova does not occur, but smaller explosions on the sun cause massive damage around the world, and in the ensuing confusion, Richardson's family find themselves in grave danger.
