Scarce Japanese Kutani Teapot
Japanese Kutani Teapot: This exquisite teapot features two Japanese geishas (Japanese word for hostessess) sitting in a traditional oriental garden scene and one in the back who is just wandering around carelessly. Various shades of orange, green, blue, and pink adorn this one of a kind antique. This particular teapot is believed to be dated pre-1890s. On the bottom there is a Japanese character that corresponds to that of a Kutani's maker's mark. A newly uploaded photo displaying the maker's mark is now viewable for comparison and authentication purposes.
The condition of the Japanese Kutani Teapot is as follows:
Near Mint for the Japanese Kutani Teapot - Teapot would be in mint condition except for some very minor wear like a couple of tiny nicks, light scratches, and tiny patches of case usage.
