Rare Unopened 1958 U.S. Flat Pack Silver Proof Set
The last of the early Mint Silver Proof Sets. From mid 1955 - 1964, proof sets were packed in transparent protective inner envelopes with a Mint Seal of Authenticity and a brown mint outer envelope. Because of their distinctive packaging, these were called 'Flat Pack' Proof Sets. In the earlier years, these sets have become increasingly rare.
Because this set has never been opened since it left the Mint in 1958, the coins in this envelope have never been examined or graded. There is the definite possibility that this set could contain one or more rare cameo silver coins worth hundred of dollars!
