Raccoon Trap / Deer & Dog Proof Trap

Raccoons are destructive and intrusive. Nocturnal by nature, raccoons will raid your feeder and leave it empty. They are clever and once they are successful in finding food, will return.

The functionality of our species-specific raccoon trap is the same with other species-specific traps in that an animal must reach into the trap, grasp the trigger and pull on it. Since the trap requires a "Grab and Pull" action to trigger the trap, it eliminates most animals from triggering it except for the raccoon. This trap is virtually dog, squirrel, deer and hog proof. The hole the raccoon reaches into to grab the bait is 1 1/2" Diamater.

Setting up the trap

• Place bait in the bottom of trap tube.
• With the small hole in the bottom facing up, and the front opening facing forward. Place the TRIGGER KEY over the SPRING ARM with the notch facing the bottom of the trap.
• Using one or both hands, suppress the SPRING ARM until TRIGGER KEY catches the center edge of the TRIGGER HOLE, until trap is set in the open position.
• Wire trap to tree or post within 20 to 30 feet of feeder. Deer,hogs, livestock, and domestic animals WILL NOT get caught in this trap.
• Only set traps when you can check them daily ! Please exercise ethical practices when trapping and removing varmints, and rodents.
