RSS Feeds (beta)

What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to the general public.

Many web users subscribe to RSS Feeds as a way of keeping up-to-date on their favorite topics. Subscribers will use software called an "RSS Reader", "feed reader", or "aggregator", which can be web-based, desktop-based, mobile device, or any computerized Internet-connected device. Many modern web browsers also have "feed readers" built-in. The RSS Reader software checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new items, downloads any updates that it finds, and provides a user interface to monitor and read the feeds.

How does RSS help me as a seller?

When RSS feeds are enabled for your account, any visitor to your items on Webstore via the your personal URL:
http://www.webstore.com/~yourusername
or by using any of the "seller's other items" links on your listings, will be provided with a recognizable logo which they can use to subscribe to your personal RSS Feed.

Once subscribed, their feed reader will inform them of any new items that you list, and be given an opportunity to visit Webstore to view and bid/buy your items.
