Tonight we are listing for auction another item from my Grandfathers estate and what we have here is a 1939 HOME SAMPLE BOX OF GOLD DUST WASHING POWDER (otherwise known as soap)........THIS BOX MEASURES 2 1'2" TALL X 1 3/4" WIDE AND IS COMPLETELY FULL AND NEVER BEEN OPENED.......
THE SOAP WAS MANUFACTURED BY THE FAIRBANKS CO. WHICH WAS A DIVISION OF LEVER BROS, AND THE BOX CLEARLY SHOWS THE GRAPHICS OF 2 BLACK KIDS CLEANING HOUSE.......
THERE ARE PRINTED DIRECTIONS ON THE REAR AND SIDE OF THE BOX , AS WELL"AS FREE HOME SAMPLE " AND LBC@ 1939........THIS PIECE WOULD LOOK GREAT IN ANY ART DECO OR VICTORIAN SETTING.......
