RARE- Chesapeake & Ohio Chessie Cat Special Edition Wind-up Pocket Watch

Limited Edition Chessie System Railroad Wind-up Pocket Watch.

This beautiful watch is 1-7/8" across and has a highly detailed relief of a steam locomotive on the front cover and a detailed filigree and scroll pattern on the obverse.

Inside cover is a shiny gold. Watch face is yellow, with black numbers, hour, minute, and second hand. In dark blue it says Chessie System Railroads, and has the silhouette of the Chessie Cat in dark blue as well. Also has railroad tracks around the center face of the watch. Clasp used to close watch works well. Chain is also in good condition. Watch has never been worn on a daily basis. Watch does run when wound.

There is a very small dark spot on the inside left corner, below the watch face.

I believe this watch is from the early 80's, possibly 1983.

It was purchased from a gift shop in Strasburg, Pennsylvania.

There are no detail etchings that I can find with a year of production, or a stock number.

Excellent gift, or a wonderful treasure for railroad memorabilia collectors, especially for those who adore "The Chessie Cat."
