DESCRIPTION: Artist: Nicole "Nikulas" Lebajo Title: Used clothes Medium: Oil on canvas Size without Frame: 35 x 23 inches Size with Frame: 45 Â½ x 33 Â½ inches Year: undated Born in Quezon City 1972. BFA UP 1989. 1st prize winner at the 23rd Shell National Art Competition of 1989. He started winning medals in art at La Concordia spot competition in Grade 6, where he received the Most Original award. Nikulas specializes in a minimalist photo-reaslism. His works are characterized by repetitive renditions of a single object in overall grey or sepia with meticulous attention to detail and scale. Later, however, his colors have started to get as colorful as their own colorful home.
