Item Description
This exquisite little toothpick holder comes in the controlled bubble art glass pattern with a silver metal insert holder which is marked Pairpoint and also had the P in a diamond and the numbers 4997. I'm not sure if the controlled bubble glass was made by Pairpoint or Mt Washington Glass Company, since the glass part itself is not marked. The glass on the outside is shaped like a clear crystal ball with bubbles on the inside of the glass over the entire piece in a very controlled pattern which only the experts seem able to accomplish. It was probably made by Mt Washington since the silver insert is Pairpoint. This is a very rare find and a SUPER LOW starting bid considering its value! There is no damage but the silver could use a good polishing - not my cup of tea. (I don't know silver items well, and I'm "assuming" this is silver because it was made by Pairpoint.) It measures 2 1/4" high and 2 1/4" across at the widest point. The insert for the toothpicks is 1 1/2" across. Insurance is mandatory for this item. No exceptions. We have additional photographs of this item available; so if you're interested, please send your email address so we can forward them to you.
