Item Description

This rare find is a lovely old rustic hand tooled cedar hand made high back slipper chair.It was made by a local crafter here in georgia in the early 70's.Unfortunally the crafter has passed on and very little the wife can remember as to the uphoistery of the chair.She said he was a hunter and trapper and was always drying furs and skins.It could be cow hide deer hide or some other animal.The frame is made of hand carved cedar.The bottom has a hoop design.There are 5 wooden poles surrounding the chair.They are all hand carved from a rare native honeysuckle tree grown here in the mountains.It is 32 high x 20 wide x 19 deep.It is very sturdy and comfortable.The pictures do not show its beauty.I will charge 35.00 for shipping but will only charge the actual shipping cost with dc and insurance and will refund the difference.Pick up is welcome.Thanks for looking.I welcome you to visit my auction for more old primitives and collectibles as i continue to add new items daily.
