This auction is for 1 BURNED DVD+R of Okinawa: Bastion in the Pacific WWII (see below for titles). The DVD has a Menu. entered public domain when the copyrights were not renewed.
Please note that even though these are on DVD+ Rs, they were not originally recorded on high definition hardware since this was over 50 years ago. The quality is what you would expect for a show of this age. It's stood up to the test of time very well, I would give it at least a 8 out of 10 which is again very good due to the age. These episodes were recorded from various sources after they had entered the public domain, reproduced on DVD+R for your viewing pleasure. Because of the diversity of the original sources, the quality may vary from episode to episode, but they are all very good overall and you will be sure to enjoy it.
Discs come in protective plastic cd cases and have no labels, with no insert .DVDs will ship within one business day of confirmed payment. Shipping and handling is $3.00 which includes delivery confirmation. Insurance would be $1.75 extra and is optional at the time of purchase. I cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that happens in transit if insurance is not purchased. SHIPPING TO CANADA WILL BE $5.00

ARC Identifier 2569688 / Local Identifier 111-TV-423. "You are the first soldiers of the new German Army. The German people now belong to a partnership of the free nations of the world. Without this mutual cooperation between all free nations, the defense of one nation would be impossible." So spoke Dr. Konrad Adenauer at the opening of Germany's new military defense system. In the time which has passed since the contingent of 1000 recruits arrived in 1956, the new German Army has grown to a well-trained, well-equipped force of 175,000 men. The fact that they are both well-trained and well-equipped is due in no small part to the few hundred specialists attached to the staff of the United States Military Assistance Advisory groups, or MAAG. This week's THE BIG PICTURE is the story of MAAG's efforts in helping to create a powerful allied force from the ruins of a war-torn land. In doing so, it also produced a strong camaraderie between the men of this organization and their American advisors. The United States, in its own interest--and other free nations in their interest--have joined a system of collective security in which the efforts of each nation sustains all. The German people, who have experienced tyranny at first hand, can be expected to remain a keystone of that system.
