This is a very hard book to find in such a good condition. This book was printed in the 3rd Reich Nazi Germany period.
This book is hard cover, pages are nice and clean for its age, no pages missing, 325 pages, text German, has some scribble on a front page but looks like in pencil can be removed.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Herbert Volck( April 4 1894in Dorpat, now in Estonia, †August 24 1944 in the Buchenwald concentration camp) was a German writer and adventurer.

Volcker was the son of lawyer and nationalist activist, Dr. Adalbert Volck. In 1905 the family moved to anti-German riots after Blankenburg/ Harz, where Volck also the high school attended. 1908 the family moved to Weimar about. After briefly studying in Jena and the visit of a French school in Geneva Volck returned to the Baltic states back.

1913/14 was his military training as a one-year volunteer at the Dragoon Regiment 16 in Lüneburg. In the first world war, first in the infantry, among other things at the Marne used Volck graduated in Hanover,an aviation training. Volck came after a crash on a flight-lieutenant in Pinsk 29th October 1915 in Russian captivity in Siberia. After several escape attempts, including in Mongolia, he succeeded in 1916/17 in an adventurous way to escape through the Caucasus. In 1918 he was assigned as intelligence officer of the Imperial German Delegation in the Caucasus.

After the war Volck introduced in January 1919 with the help of his father's volunteer corp Luneburg Volckon. As part of the Iron Division fought against Soviet troops in the Baltics this. Volck itself was in Jelgava wounded in the arm and did not subsequently return to their units.

In the 1920s he worked as a detective and writer,worked and traveled in 1922 as a lecturer in the USA, where he was against the Treaty of Versailles occurred. 1923 Volck had first contacts with the Nazi party. His livelihood, he played in the following years, including as agents, distributors of agricultural machinery and editor. 1928/29 he was on the terrorist actions of the People's Movement participated in Northern Germany, which is why he in 1930 to seven years imprisonment for attempted murder. The date of his release is unclear.

After the prison he wrote his still semi-reportage, semi-romantic books. Volck lived in the 1930s in Kolberg. At least since 1933 to Volck close contacts with Goering and have had for the Gestapo have been active. This should make it into conflict with Heydrich have come in the summer of 1934, which led to the first arrest of Volck. After that he was still active intelligence. With the outbreak of war Volck worked as a war correspondet. 1942 his books were banned. Volck was arrested and died in 1944 in the Buchenwald concentration camp. Was arrested for what reasons Volck is unclear.
