Item Description

Hello!

Here is a Wonderful Occupied Japan Piece" We will be adding an extremely large quantity of Occupied Japan one per auction. If you are looking for very rare this is the place to contact. Let me know what you are looking for and if I have it, I will put it in an auction here on eBay. Pricing was based on books, internet. I guarantee every one of these figurines to be in mint condition. If there is a problem, I will note it in the description. Each Occupied Japan has a lot of information on the details, when it was produced, all ID markings, sizes. All of the Occupied Japan we will be auctioning over the next month, were purchased as a personal collection. Each piece is in the finest condition.

A little history about Occupied Japan: "Made in Occupied Japan" has been an intriguing phrase for collectors over the years, but as many new collectors join this collecting society, the quantity of pieces so marked has declined exponentially! All items made in Japan from the beginning of our occupation at the end of World War II until April 28, 1952, when the occupation ended, that were to be exported to the United States had to be marked in one of four ways: "Japan, "Made in Occupied Japan, "Occupied Japan", or "Made in Japan". You can see that if all the markings were used proportionately or nearly so, then only about half of the items imported into the United States would have been marked with the magic words for collectors, "Made in OCCUPIED JAPAN." Be aware that there are counterfeits and reproductions available. Buy from reputable dealers! If an item is glazed on the bottom, the mark will be under the glaze and not on top of it! After a while, experience will enable you to spot an Occupied Japan piece before you even turn it over to look for the mark. These words of wisdom taken from the book, "Occupied Japan collectibles" by Gene Florence.

This is great FIND for the stamp collector and/or historical artifact collector!!
