Because things have very different costs based on weight, we go by the heaviest item first in determining shipping.
If the heaviest item is an oversize or textbook, the first item is 3.99 and then a dollar for each additional item regardless of what those items are.
If the heaviest item is a book or heavy audio book, the first item is 3.25 and then a dollar for each additional item regardless of what those items are.
If the heavest item is a vhs movie or small paperback book, the first item is 2.99 and then a dollar for each additional item.
If the heavest item is a light audio book (up to 4 oz.) or dvd, the first item is 1.99 and then a dollar for each additional item.

If you go through my store and toss a bunch of media in your cart, and paypal it, don't sweat it, when I go through the invoices, I will figure out the shipping as outlined above and refund the overage to your paypal. If you are worried I might not catch it because of purchases being hours apart, put a note in the message field on the payment.
