are planning on touring the covered bridges of Vermont this foliage season. Some of the bridges are no longer here, after the recent flooding due to Irene. This is called "Covered Bridges of Vermont", by Ed Barna of
Middlebury, VT. This is in NEW condition. The cover hasn't been opened -
better than at the book store!
This is a comprehensive
guide to Vermont's 106 historic covered bridges. Thirteen area tours
are listed, with information including names, locations and directions,
age, builder, type, dimensions, etc. There are many black and white
photographs in the book. There is also advice on photographing the
bridges, parking, and finding nearby historical sites.
There is also a lot of history and folklore about the bridges. It has 216 pages.
