This is a previously owned item that was last known to be in good working condition. It is NOT optical, but the mouseball appears to be in very good condition. This may be something of a legacy product, which originally sold for almost $55 plus s/h. It can still be found on the manufacturer's web site for almost $25 plus s/h. support and additional documentatioin can be found there also. WYSIWYG.
