US edition.144pp.Jean-Marie Toulgouat, was the last remaining link with Claude Monet at Giverny, the Normandy village 50 miles north-west of Paris where the artist lived and painted his famous series of water-lilies.In 1964 he had married Claire Joyes, an art historian, and together they wrote and lectured on Monet in France and in Columbus, Ohio, where Theodore Butler had lived. Claire Joyes' first two books were Monet at Giverny (1975) and Life at Giverny (1985).Very good copy in a bit worn dust jacket.12x8.5".
