Vintage Marx Train Set IOB
A truly wonderful find! A complete “Marx Steam Stream Lineâ€set in the original box, with all pieces, original instructions and packing list, and accessory advertisement brochure.
This is probably a set from the early 1950s, however I have not had the opportunity to find a comparable set.Some things of interest are the age of the transformer, the details on locomotive, and the colors and description on the box.Most of the boxes that I have found are in red, this one is in brown and black.Also, all of the other boxes I have found show the words "remote control.", but this set doesn't show that at all.
I will also include several extra pieces of track, not original to the set, but just as an extra.
Please consider that everything that I have listed is only known to me by the packing list, and information I have been able to research.I do not have firsthand knowledge that every piece came at the same time, but must assume it to be so since, all of the pieces match known sets.
Items included : 1 Steam Type Electric Locomotive, 1 Tender, 1 Box Car, 1 Coal Car, 1 Caboose, 2 Straight Tracks, 8 Curved Tracks, 1 Transformer, Track Connectors.
