THIS IS A LARGE HAND WEAVED BASKET MADE FROM BAMBOO THAT WAS ALL NATURAL GROWN HERE ON THE RIVER IN GEORGIA.IT WAS MADE BY A LOCAL ARTIST NAMED LAURA OAKLEY. LAURA LEARNED BASKET MAKING IN THE EARLY 90S AT THE JOHN C CAMPBELL FOLK SCHOOL.SHE MAKES MANY DIFFERENT STYLES OF BASKET. MY MOM HAS ENJOYED THIS ONE AND USED IT FOR A FRUIT BOWL. IT IS TIME TO PASS IT ON TO YOU.THE WEAVED DESIGN WITH A BROWNISH MACRAME RIM MAKES THE BASKET SO UNIQUE AND STUNNING.THIS BASKET HAS A VALUE OF 225.00 IF SOLD AT THE FOLK SCHOOL.IT IS 14 WIDE X 4.5 HIGH.IT IS VERY TIGHT WEAVED WITH NO BREAKS IN THE BAMBOO OR MACRAME.A NICE ONE FOR YOUR FRUITS OR MAGAZINES OR GIVE IT AS A NICE GIFT.THE CONDITION IS GOOD.THANK YOU FOR LOOKING.
