LONDON GRAPHIC NEWS~1886~QUEEN~OPENING EXHIBITION

This auction is for a double page newspaper print "THE OPENING OF THE COLONIAL AND INDIAN EXHIBITION BY THE QUEEN- TWIXT EAST AND WEST" It is an original from the LONDON GRAPHIC NEWS - 1886. On the top of the newsprint it says "492 - THE GRAPHIC MAY 8, 1886 - 493" The print is of the Queen at the OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION. The title of the print is "THE OPENING OF THE COLONIAL AND INDIAN EXHIBITION BY THE QUEEN- TWIXT EAST AND WEST" The newsprint picture comes with a carboard frame. There is a crease of coarse in the centre of the picture from the original newspaper copy. There is also paper label on the frame which reads " ORIGINAL, LONDON GRAPHIC NEWS-1886, DONATION OF $40.00 - REQUESTED" Top part of the news print is still attached to the back carboard frame. The newsprint is in good condition. The frame itself appears faded and looks like it has come apart. I purchased this print around 1980 or 1981 from an elderly lady who was selling her farm house and was moving to a retirement home. I came across this picture again which I had stored in a cubby room of my home for many years. I have had this print for many years and is an original to my knowledge.
