This is a USED CD, Still in VERY GOOD Condition... Plays Great!...
A few of you might remember Tatyana Ali from her TV appearance as the little girl for whom Herbie Hancock displayed the possibilities of sound sampling technology by playing her name back through his sampler at different octaves. More of you will recall her work a few years later on the Will Smith television vehicle Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Like Smith, Ali has proven herself to be multi-talented, making the move from TV personality to contemporary R&B vocalist with KISS THE SKY. Though there are stars of no less ability than Chico DeBarge and Angela Bofill helping out on this recording, Ali proves herself more than capable of carrying the proceedings all by her lonesome. This being a mainstream R&B album, the focus unsurprisingly falls on sensual ballads and sonically satisfying statements of romantic devotion, all of which are carried off convincingly by a young singer who sounds like she's got a long career ahead of her.
