10" plate, in perfect condition. Produced by maker in ad line, Kettlesprings Kilns. Back gives this history of the Firelands, "Benedict Arnold, commanding British troops in the Revolution, burned the Connecticut towns of Danbury, Fairfield, Greenwich, Groton, New Haven, New London, Norwalk and Ridgefield. The 'Firelands', part of Connecticut's Western Reserve, was given to those who lost their homes. Organized in 1809, it now consists of Erie and Huron Counties, Danbury Township of Ottawa County and Ruggles Township of Ashland County". Add 6.95 shipping US.
