Vintage Imperial Glass Heisey Crystal Glass Caramel Slag Oscar Sparky Plug Horse
The Heisey factory was in business from 1896 through 1957. The Imperial Glass Corporation of Bellaire, Ohio, bought the existing molds from Heisey in 1958. Imperial Glass went out of business in 1984 and all of its assets were sold by liquidation in 1985. The Heisey Collectors of America organization was fortunate to be able to purchase most of the existing Heisey molds formerly in the possession of Imperial. HCA does make some limited quantity special edition items for their members, but these pieces always have an HCA mark, which includes the year of reproduction. And to further prevent them from being confused with older glass, the color chosen for a limited edition piece is never one originally used by A.H. Heisey & Co. when the company first made the item.

His coloring is called Caramel Slag or End Of Day
End Of Day Glass was another term for Slag Glass because it was made by mixing the leftover glass at the end of each day and pouring it into molds
He is 4 1/4 inches high and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, he does have a very tiny glass bump on his upper lip and another one on his stand from the mould casting when he was made
The base has a satin finish bottom and has the Imperial Glass I super imposed over the G glass stamp mark on the side
Shipping within the U.S. via USPS with Delivery Confirmation will be $7.95. Insured U.S. shipping is optional but recommended as I cannot control what happens to your package once I hand it over to the Post Office. If you would like insurance please include $1.70 in the total. If you would like me to ship outside the U.S. please contact me for a shipping quote as international shipping rates will be higher.

Returns are accepted within 2 days of receiving item. Buyer must contact me at sanibelsheller@msn.com to initiate a return. Buyer pays all shipping fees. Item must be returned in the same condition it was shipped in, unopened or unworn if new etc. Items must be safely received by me before I will issue a refund.
