Each Webstore account begins with a limit of 5 open bids and/or unpaid purchases.
Webstore calls these "open bids and/or unpaid purchases": Commitments.
As you successfully complete transactions (purchase items), your limits are automatically increased by the system.
Example: Joe has signed up a new Webstore account. He bids on 3 different items, and purchases 2 items with Buy Now. Joe has now reached his limit of 5 Commitments. He cannot place any additional bids or purchase items with Buy Now until either he pays for the items that he has purchased, or gets outbid on one of his items. What happens now?
- If Joe gets outbid on any of his auctions, he commitments will decrease allowing him more opportunities to place more bids and/or purchase with Buy Now.
- If Joe pays for any of his Buy Now purchases, his commitments will decrease by one for each item paid.
Joe pays for one of his purchases using instant online payment through Webstore which helps him in two ways.
- His number of commitments decreases by 1 (for the recorded payment).
- Webstore automatically increases his overall limit beyond the initial 5.
Joe can now continue bidding and buying on Webstore.
