Homemade/Handmade(?)
Violin /w Bridge Pickup

This listing is for a Homemade/Handmade
Violin with a Barcus Berry(?) bridge pickup.
I can't tell you much about
this violin other than I bought it in 1980 from a music store who
didn't know much about it or it's origins. They thought it was handmade
in a private parties home shop. An actual violin salesman told me the wood
is mahogany and the quality of the build was good. It has wood inlay
around the edges of the top and back and wood star inlays in the back
and back of the peghead.
The bridge pickup looks
to be a Barcus Berry and has passive volume and tone control knobs
on the top, A 1/4" jack was installed in the left side (looking
at the violin). A basic, non-wood bow is included. There is no case.
Important Note:
There is a tone peg inside the violin underneith the bridge that became
dislodged and will need to be reset. It should take a violin repairman
only a few minutes to do
I've set shipping for
USPS, but I'll decide the best way to ship when that
time comes. Shipping is free and will include Signature Confirmation
and Insurance for the winning bid price. Shipping will take longer
due to the extra requirements there will be in securely packing
the violin for shipping. It shouldn't take too much longer. The
bow may be shipped separately. Both will ship after confirmed Paypal
payment.
Important Notice: For your protection and ours, we only accept Paypal as payment for auction wins.
