This item is a used Oscilloscope from Hewlett Packard. It is model number 1980B. Included is an HP 1950A module for two extra input channels. This scope comes with a power cord, but no probes are included.
The HP 1980B is a 100 MHz analog scope, but is referred to as an Oscilloscope Measurement System. It has a built-in microprocessor to provide some intelligence. As a result, it can be controlled by a computer over the HP-IB interface.
Note that this scope has a total of 4 channels. Normally it comes with 2 channels. But this unit includes an HP 1950A which is a 100 MHz, 2 Channel Plug-in module providing 2 additional inputs.
The unit does power up and works. We connected it to a pulse generator and checked each of the four channels. All channels displayed the signal as expected.
All menu selections work O.K and the signal traces are crisp.
I would rate the cosmetic condition of this scope as between fair and good. The case is in decent shape, but the front panel does have some minor flaws.
This unit was mounted in a rack, so there are no rubber feet on the bottom. The serial number is 2306A01919.
Again, note that a power cord is included, but there are no probes.
