Item Description
This is a lot of two vintage child's clothing items:
First is a girl's slip which feels like a light cotton or cotton blend. It almost feels silky, but I know it isn't silk. It is adorned with a fancy lace design in the front and the straps are quite ornate and almost look like a type of ribbon. The front of the slip has lace and ribbon decorations as well. The bottom hem is ruffled and the waste line is gathered on the sides. It's quite pretty but the lace is in need of some minor repair work as shown in the pictures. This slip measures 20" long from the top of the shoulder strap to the bottom of the hem. When laying flat, the waste is about 11" across in the front.
Next is a bib or vest which appears to date from the early 1900's. The condition of this piece is quite good. When laying flat, it measures 18" long. The front is adorned with decorative designs which look like crochets pieces. The bib must have snapped behind the neck originally, but the snaps are missing on one side.
These items could use a good cleaning and I'll leave that to the buyer. They are definitely vintage items.
