Item Description
This pedestal candy dish in Fostoria's elegant American Pattern is absolutely stunning. This cube pattern is gorgeous as the glass catches the light in every direction. I suppose that's why this is one of the most popular elegant glass patterns. It has stood the test of time and is still one of the most popular, if not THE most popular Fostoria pattern. The block pattern is known as Fostoria's pattern #2056 line. The " American " pattern was produced by the Fostoria Glass Company beginning in 1915. This piece is crystal clear in color. It stands 9" high to the top of the finial on the lid and just over 6" tall to the top of the dish without the lid. The base is 3 3/4" across at the center and the dish is 5 1/4" across at the center. The pedestal is a six-sided column of crystal clear glass. As far as I can tell, this is immaculate - magnifico - no chips no cracks no repairs! It is so regal and elegant, it boggles the mind. What a fabulous gift for the holidays or a wedding!
