The government shuts down archaeologist Lloyd Walker's (Gil Bellows) dig, much to his dismay. He becomes suspicious, and after a little investigation, uncovers an outrageous alien plot to wipe humans off the face of the earth. Liz Quinlan (Daryl Hannah), a city official who holds all the cards, is not what she seems. She is actually a blood-sucking creature from outer space masquerading as a human being, which allows her to go about her business without anyone realizing. The creature has created a processing plant at the mayor's office, which transforms human bodies into alien forms. It's up to Walker to save the day.
