The secret is organization, and having a master plan.

Yes, it takes me about 3-4 hours to do a regular grocery order....and sometimes I go to 3-4 stores, depending on where I can make the most discounts from my coupons (one store doubles coupons, another stacks coupons, another may have a 10/$10. special and I may have coupons for $1. off the item (then it's FREE!)...it's all in knowing how to do it. (by the way: when I have to go to multiple stores: I start farthest first, then backtrack)
I also call ahead to be certain if I am purchasing 30+ of something that the store has it in stock, and ask they hold it if they are running low....this can occur frequently on a really good sale, like a 10/$10.
