///////////////////////// I use aluminum cans, aluminum wire, and a steel nut as a counterweight. I mention this for those of you that are worried about the environment. All my pinwheels & whirligigs are environmentally friendly- NO LEAD!!
If there is a local soda (pop) or beer that you want made into a whirligig, please send me the cans. Whirligigs require 2 cans per layer so a 2 layer whirligig, would require 4 cans.
Cans must be rinsed, uncrushed, and preferably, undented. There is no extra charge for using your cans.
My neighbor told me in the spring of 2008 that the whirligig she had bought from me in 2007 was the only one that hadn't been blown to pieces by our Kansas winds. We've had a couple of tornados just miss our little town of 500 people.
