Item Description
A Crazy quilt from the victorian era of the late 1800's to the early 1900's done in worested, cotton velvets and silks. These are sewn onto various fabrics from linen to cotton muslin and the blocks pieced together by hand and embellished with various embroidery stitches. The backing is a brown cotton fannel fabric. The blocks are 17" square and the quilt has 20 blocks, 4 wide and 5 long. It has a total of 6 blocks that have silk fabric in them that has shattered as shown in the pictures. The majority of these blocks are in the bottom 2 rows of the quilt. The top 3 rows could be made into a great wall hanging or table runners if you did not want to keep the quilt complete with the deteriorating fabrics in some of the blocks. It measures 87 x 68" in size. It is in good/fair condition.
