Anatoly Vasilyevich Filipchenko(Russian: ÐÐ½Ð°Ñ‚Ð¾ÌÐ»Ð¸Ð¹ Ð’Ð°ÑÐ¸ÌÐ»ÑŒÐµÐ²Ð¸Ñ‡ Ð¤Ð¸Ð»Ð¸ÌÐ¿Ñ‡ÐµÐ½ÐºÐ¾; born February 26, 1928 in Davydovka, Voronezh Oblast, RSFSR) was a Sovietcosmonautof Ukrainiandescent. He flew on the Soyuz 7and Soyuz 16 missions. He was decorated twice with the Hero of the Soviet Union - equivalent to the US Medal of Honor and UK Victoria Cross. This outstanding hand-signed 8x10 photo pictures 23 cosmonauts - three of which are Hero of the Soviet Union recipients. After leaving the space programme in 1982 Filipchenko became the Deputy Director of the OKBin Kharkiv.
